The Maternitywear Exchange is the UK's largest Maternity wear Dress Agency in the UK.

Presently we are selling about 400 garments a month through our shops in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire; Frimley Green, Surrey; Beckenham,Kent and Liss in Hampshire, as well as on-line via this website. We are always looking for good quality second hand maternity clothes to offer onto the next generation of mums to be.

If you have surplus maternity wear:

In good condition
In perfect repair
Cleaned and pressed
Not more than 4 years old.

we would like to hear from you.

You receive 40% of the sales price of the items. (We have to pay the VAT on sales) We pay you once items have sold. We have a monthly cheque run system and pay if you are due more than £50.00 in total. This avoids us having to produce thousands of small cheques, for which we have to pay bank charges. If you are due less than £50.00 the sum will be carried over to the next month when additional items will hopefully sell.

You will need to go to our Agency Agreement page, print it off and sign it when you post clothing to us. Agency Agreement.

As soon as the clothes are entered onto the system and photographed, we will produce a pricing schedule and post that to you. It will detail the address we have to send the cheques onto, all the items we have included in the Exchange, with a unique code number, as well as its expected selling price. You would receive half of that price. The Agency Agreement details the details of how over time we can reduce the prices further if they do not sell in the first few months and also what happens if the clothing has not sold after 9 months. I do reserve the right to reduce the prices of some items if I have a buyer or believe it would help move a slow selling garment.

There are several ways you can contact us to discuss us acting on your behalf and selling your maternity clothing.

Come and visit one of our exchanges.

If you are local call for an appointment and we can look through the clothes you want to sell over a coffee. I can give you an approximate sale price to put the garments on at. I will have a copy of an Agency Agreement for you read and sign. That is where you leave the clothes at the exchange, and we agree a price to sell them at. When the clothes sell, I reimburse you with 40% of the sale price.

If it is too far to travel to us, don't worry, there are several ways we can discuss selling your clothing on your behalf.

E-mail

Send an email to me on purchasing@maternityexchange.co.uk. I will need a description of each item (colour, material, features, patterns, etc.), manufacturer, size, condition (if it is not "as new". Please consider that our reputation is based on only "as new" quality. We only may accept slightly worn or faded items if they are jeans or very substantially reduced. All clothing must be in good condition e.g. no repair needs, clean and pressed), Shop Retail price (or what you paid in the shops). Finally, a price you would like to sell at. Please do this for all your items.

Please be diligent as if we receive goods that we are not happy with, we will ask you to pay for the return postage, arrange to collect them or dispose of them.

Please don't forget your address and a telephone number so that we can get in contact if we need to clarify any details. You will need to sign and enclose a copy of our Agency Agreement for us to start to market your clothing to sell.
