    The Maternitywear Exchange Ltd is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how we use the information that we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you would prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

    1.1       When you buy or sell goods, using our Website, or contact us to arrange a fitting for a hire garment,  we need to know your name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number.  If you are buying goods on line we need your debit or credit card number and expiry date, and clothing size. We also ask you to tell us your baby's expected date of delivery. You do not have to share this information with us, but it does help to ensure that we do not send you details of offers and products that are unsuited to your circumstances.

    1.2       We gather this information to allow us to process any orders which you may make. The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and sub-contractors to provide you with statements of your account and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the conduct of your account and the provision of your goods in general.

    1.3       We may also use aggregate information and statistics for purposes of monitoring Website usage in order to help us develop the Website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties.  These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

    1.4       From time to time we may provide your information to our customer services agencies for research and analysis purposes so that we can monitor and improve the services we provide.  We or our agents or sub-contractors may contact you by post, e-mail or telephone to ask you for your feed back and comments on our services.

    2.                  Our Use of Cookies and other information gathered in technologies.

    2.1       A cookie is a piece of text that can be stored on the web browser by a web server and retrieved later on.  Each time the browser requests a page from the server, a message is sent back.  A cookies main objective is to identify users and personalise their experience at a Website by customising web pages for them and welcoming them by name each time they visit the site.

    3.1       The Internet is not a secure media.  However we have put in place various security procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Our e-payment software (SSL) uses strong encryption to ensure that all sensitive information is protected throughout the payment process.

    3.2       We also keep your information confidential.  Our internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information.

    4.                  Sale of business

    If this business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisors and any prospective purchasers and their advisors will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

A fee of £10 is payable under the DPA for the release of personal information. We will correct any information which is found to be incorrect.

    By submitting your information you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy.  If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the Website, so that you may be aware of the information that we collect and how long we use it at all times.  We will also e-mail you should we make any changes so that you may consent to our use of your information in that way.  Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such changes.
